Every quilt tells a story of trial, error, and ultimate triumph! This gorgeous 60X60- inch multicolored scrappy quilt was designed, pieced, and quilted by Linda E. Wells in May 2025. It began as a creative experiment using 2-inch fabric squares. By mixing solid squares with half-square triangles (half white, half multicolor) and meticulously redesigning the layout several times, I perfected an original 11X11-inch block. Set against a crisp white background, the quilt is framed with a 1.5-inch white border and playful multicolored cornerstones. The quilting itself is a true work of art—I used non-computerized, free-motion quilting to create a beautiful, edge-to-edge meandering straight stitch using a variegated multicolored thread that dances across the fabric. Finished with a decorative stitch on the blue binding and a bold, multicolored triangle backing, this quilt is entirely reversible when you want to switch up your decor!
